On August 24, 2024, CUHK-Shenzhen hosted an information session at the 2024 Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad final round in Hong Kong Science Park. Ms Roxy Luo, Manager of International Undergraduate Admissions of the Office of Academic Links presented on behalf of the university. The audience included parents of high school finalists of HKIMO this year. 

Vicent Billy, a 4th year Indonesian student from SSE majored in New Energy Science and Engineering, shared his study and living experience at CUHK-Shenzhen. 

Hong Kong International Mathematical Olympiad (HKIMO), is developed by former Hong Kong Mathematical Olympiad Team Team Leader Mr Wong Tin Chun. The objective of developing HKIMO is to promote Mathematical Olympiad all over the world. The examination paper consists of 5 main topics: Logical Thinking, Arithmetic (Kindergarten / Primary Section) / Algebra(Secondary Section), Number Theory, Geometry & Combinatorics.
