On September 23, 2024, the World International Mathematical Olympiad (WIMO) team visited CUHKSZ. They were warmly received by the International Undergraduate Admissions team, professors, and faculty members from the School of Science and Engineering.

World International Mathematical Olympiad, WIMO, is a unique International Mathematical Olympiad Competition, founded by professional and experienced International Mathematical Olympiad coaches. WIMO only focus 1% of elite Mathematics students. The examination consists of standardized topics such as Logical Thinking, Arithmetic / Algebra, Number Theory, Geometry and Combinatorics.

CUHKSZ currently is the potential hosting side for the 2024 WIMO Final Round on January 4, 2025.
